Longford County Council’s Corporate Plan 2024 – 2029 will outline our vision for County Longford and describe the main priorities for the Council, and the benefits we will deliver for our communities. This plan will set out our strategic framework for the next five years and what we will do as a Council in partnership with our communities and partners to deliver that vision. We will also outline in the plan the core values that will inform our work, how we deliver services and engage with our customers and stakeholders.
In developing this plan, we will carry out an analysis of our operating environment, the challenges and opportunities this presents and our capacity to meet these while delivering on our strategic objectives for the next five years.
This pre-plan consultation provides an opportunity for our employees, elected members local citizens, community groups, partners, businesses and others to shape the vision for the county. We have included a number of questions to consider while making your submission. Your submission will assist us in developing an ambitious plan for the county which will have the flexibility and resilience to adapt to the demands of a changing environment. It will allow for changing priorities and, when necessary, reallocation of resources.
The closing date for receipt of submissions is Wednesday, 21 August 2024.
