Longford County Council is now in the process of developing the Strategic Policy Committee Scheme 2024-2029.
Following the Local Elections, Longford County Council is establishing four Strategic Policy Committees (SPC), as follows:
The Strategic Policy Committees (SPCs) consider matters connected with the formulation, development, monitoring and review of policy which relate to the functions of the Local Authority and to advise the authority on those matters. Membership of an SPC will comprise of 5 Elected Members and 5 nominees from Sectoral Interests.
Longford County Council is now inviting submissions on the draft scheme. The closing date for receipt of submissions is Wednesday, 21 August 2024.
